A Bit About Me

Entry 1
we possess a pair of eyes, the function of which to observe, to discover, etc, yet many of us simply do not really "see" in the true sense of the word. when the eyes are used externally to observe the inevitable faults of others, most of us are rather quick with readily equipped condemnation. for it is easy to criticize & break down the spirit of others, but to know yourself takes maybe a lifetime. to take responsibility of one's actions, good & bad, is something else! after all, knowledge simply means self-knowledge!
Entry 2
subject: friends when it comes to having friends, prison isn't a place you would expect to find any or have any. but it is possible. some of the coolest and smartest people I have met have been in here. the real goal is figuring out who your true friends are
Entry 3
subject: judgement when it comes to people who look at means others that are locked up, majority of people automatically judge and put labels that can be hurtful and wrong. people see us and think the worse and a lot of that has to deal with how people who go to prison have been portrayed in the media. not all of us are bad people, some of us just made bad decision. but people don't see that because they are blinded by whatever it is that we have done. if people can see past our crime and actually see who we are and get to know us then they'll know that we are actually good people. my challenge to any who reads this is put aside your judgemental ideals and try to get to know us before you pass judgement on us.
Entry 4
subject: giving thanks I have a lot to be thankful for. my family, my life, and oddly enough I am thankful for my time in prison. I have learned a lot over the years, like who I am and who I want to be. prison has taught me how to be a man in a lot of ways. I am greatful for everything that I have been through. we all have something to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving!
Entry 5
subject: having hope having hope can be hard at times. especially when everything around you is going all to pieces and there isn't anyone there for you to run to. there are a lot of days where that is exactly how I feel. there are even times where I wonder why do I bother to try and make a difference within myself? then I begin to think about what it is that I am trying to accomplish and the people who matter to me and how bless I am. that helps me to keep hope alive. realizing that God has blessed me and has a plan for me helps keep hope alive. the goal is to never give up, yo stay focus on our goals. I am bless to have a family that helps keep my head up and is there for me. we all need someone to be there and help us out. by ourselves hope can be a hard thing to keep alive but as long as there is someone there for you it gets easier.
