Prison has affected my life in many ways. Mostly, though, I hate to admit it, but in a positive way. It has made me mentally, emotionally, and physically stronger and has given me the time to realize what is truly important in life. Like my kids and family. It has broken me down to low places, for me to only climb back up stronger. It has taught me a lot about myself and the ways of other people. And to never judge or to assume things are the way they seem to be. But most importantly it has given me sobriety, education, and a fresh start at life when I get out.
